Every Wednesday I participate in “Yarn Along”, a link-up run by Ginny over at Small Things where we share what we are knitting and reading this week. Head over to the Small Things blog to see what other bloggers are sharing!
I have so many projects in progress right now! I’m right in the middle of the striped baby blanket, sadly neglected while I was away over Easter, and my wonderfully bright Age of Brass and Steam shawl. There are also a few projects that need attention, either to finish them off (notably the Kidsilk Haze cowl) or to get past a sticky moment. They are all rather large, though, so I’m only carrying my hexipuffs around with me at the moment. I have a whole vase full of scraps, mostly fingering weight but a few DK and worsted too, to knit up into tiny 3D hexagons. They are a good palate cleanser between projects, and a good backup portable project as well.
I’m still working my way through Ox Travels, but I also started Haruki Murakami’s What I Talk About When I Talk About Running as an ebook. That one is on my phone, and since I take all my blog photos with my phone I couldn’t include it in the photo above. I’ve just started the book so I don’t know how I feel about it yet, but I am enjoying Murakami’s writing style. It is very conversational, and so very easy reading.
